Did you know that, over a 16-week winter, 10 horses would need at least 160 bales of hay?
Federated Farmers of New Zealand has kindly offered to assist New Zealand Riding for the Disabled by seeking donations of hay from their farmers around the country.
The challenge is to build the haystack as high as we can!
We are grateful for all and any donations, and we know that our RDA horses will be happy to have full tummies over winter.
If you’re a farmer and you’d like to donate some hay, please complete the form on this page and one of our RDA Groups will contact you to arrange delivery or collection of the hay.
If you’re a farmer who doesn’t have any hay to donate, but you’d like to donate some useful equipment to an RDA, please select ‘0 bales’ in the drop down box and then type a description of your equipment in the ‘Any other comments’ box.
If you’re not a farmer but you want to support RDA riders and horses, we would be over the moon if you donated a virtual bale of hay – simply click the orange ‘Donate Funds’ button.
