Timaru Group RDA was founded in 1972, (one of the earliest in New Zealand), and initially operated on private land in Fairview, near Timaru.
The Group purchased our current 10 acre site on the edge of Timaru in 2005, after a sustained fundraising effort within the supportive local community.
Future plans include the provision of an all-weather indoor arena and the continuing improvement of our facilities.
At the moment we have 9 horses and ponies providing therapeutic riding and horse related activities to around 35 disabled riders in the Timaru area.
We operate on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during term time and are always happy to welcome new volunteers.
